Numeric System

Instead of using the names of the author for an in-text citation, this system uses a number to index each citation. The numeric system has the advantage of not distracting the reader with a scattering of author's names in brackets amongst the text. Instead they will be directed to look at either the bottom of the page or at the end of the chapter for the full reference. Often these footnotes as they are called include a note from the author about the source listed. All of these references will appear at the end of the book in a single or series of numbered list/s arranged in chapter order.
