Who is the Author: Multiple authors

Where there are six or fewer authors these should all appear in the reference. It is common practice to do this in scientific papers, but this varies between subjects. Sometimes it is good practice where there are more than 3 authors to list the first author followed by et al.

Where there are three or more authors, the in-text citation can have just the first author with 'et al.'
